Saxe Brickenden
As leader of Evolution, Canada's upscale home entertainment import and distribution business, Saxe Brickenden has an extensive 30 year background in all facets of the home entertainment industry. During the mid-70's, he gained valuable retail sales, advertising, and merchandising experience with highly respected retailers such as Associated Audio Ltd. in Ottawa, Bay Bloor Radio Ltd. in Toronto, and Sound Advice, his own custom installation business in Montreal. Brickenden's wholesale experience includes owning and operating an independent sales agency for two years in the competitive California marketplace. In 1979 he sold his business and returned to Toronto to join Evolution Audio Inc., a wholesale distributor. After growing the audio business tenfold, he bought control of the company in 1988. The company holds the exclusive Canadian rights to several brands of upscale home entertainment products from Europe and the US, and sells to over 200 storefronts across Canada.
In addition to his consumer seminars presented to tens of thousands of consumers, Saxe Brickenden has lectured to the IEEE, and appeared as an industry expert in dozens of radio talk shows, newspaper, and national television interviews. These include The Globe & Mail's Ellen Roseman, CTV's "The Dini Show", CKO Newsradio, CFMX-FM, City-TV's "Breakfast Television", the Women's Television Network (WTN), Alliance's "House & Home" with Lynda Reeves on HGTV, and CTV's "Canada AM". Brickenden sits on the Board of Directors of Metronome Canada Foundation, Canada's future "Music City" on Toronto's waterfront.
